Color Weaver Series

This series is based on the depth of illusion through the use of color, light, and lines. As I continue to explore the vast possibilities this series offers, I equally uncover internal pressures that unconsciously push this project. My process, to this point, has brought me to the conclusion that balance is key.
The weight of pushing myself to be "perfect" can be heavy, especially when dealing with lines. The work invites the viewer to explore the many illusion this series offers. Perhaps the biggest, the illusion of perfection, conceptually and contextually; symmetry at a distance, chaos up close, the inevitability that the painterly mark is unique to the hand that left it.
Organic Symmetry Series
2013-2019
Organic Symmetry is the concept that everything in nature is simultaneously organized and chaotic. This series reflects my desire to mimic and control nature within it's perimeters.
Natural elements; Water, Fire, Air, & Earth are represented in both materials and in process.
